A message about Connect-ED
Dear Parents/Guardians,
This month we are implementing a new telephone messaging service throughout the Elmsford union Free School District. This new service is called Connect-ED.
The Connect-ED service will enable us to personally communicate with parents about emergency situations, school events and important issues impacting your child. It will allow us to send personalized voice messages to your family's home, work or cell phones. Essentially, a school principal can make one phone call that reaches all of his or her students' families within minutes. Furthermore, this allows me the ability to make one phone call to reach everyone in the entire district within minutes.
In addition, if you would like, you can provide us with an email address to keep you informed about emergency situations, school events, and important issues impacting your child.
Based on the system's proven track record, we know this message service will improve school and district-wide communications with parents and school system employees.
I plan to launch our first district-wide message on 12/23/2008. It is important that your school has all of your current telephone numbers (and email address if you would like) so that you will not miss out on any important communications.
It is an honor to be serving you and your children here at Elmsford Public Schools. Thank you.
Sincerely,
Barbara Peters, Ed.D.
Superintendent of Schools
